Visa and Travel Documents
Everyone travelling to Jamaica must present a valid and approved travel document as evidence of their identity and nationality. The most common and preferred travel document is a passport, but other types of travel documents may also be accepted.
Arriving in Kingston, Jamaica (from Abroad)
Your flight will take you to the Norman Manley International Airport located on a picturesque peninsula just about 20km from the Conference and Accommodation Venue at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. This means that after you have completed the immigration and customs clearing process, (we hope that it will be quick!), your drive to the hotel should take an approximate 27 minutes. The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel is a highly regarded hotel conveniently located at 81 Knutsford Boulevard, Kingston 5 in the city’s business district (New Kingston), which makes it ideal for meetings, accommodation and conferences.
Arriving in Montego Bay, Jamaica and travelling to Kingston, Jamaica
Montego Bay is Jamaica’s second city and the ultimate tourist destination. This resort town located on the island’s north coast is where you will find Jamaica’s largest airport, the Sangster’s International Airport. The busy airport is approximately 193 km from the city of Kingston and travel time by ground transportation to Kingston is at least 2hrs. There are limited domestic flights available from Montego Bay to Kingston with the current schedule being one daily by Inter Caribbean Airways. There is however very reliable ground transportation available (see website references below).
Whichever port of entry you chose, we recommend that you get to Kingston at least by the night before the event, which is the best way to guarantee your participation.
Parking
Complimentary Parking will be available at the Jamaica Pegasus conference venue.
