Business leaders, managers, and directors may be brilliant leaders in one situation and do not have the same results in another. Management gurus agree: Anyone can lead, not everyone can be a successful leader. The previously embraced command-and-control techniques are increasingly ineffective. Today’s business environment demands leaders to be alert, agile, enterprising, and skilled in the art of diplomacy. As a leader, it’s imperative to articulate who you are, and what you stand for, and why you’re excited to lead your team.
Are these areas you feel you need to develop? Do you have a compass to guide you on the journey of leading through challenging times, your teams, stay flexible in dealing with them; try to respond to them in ways that address their needs and interests. “Developing your Leadership Compass” is a highly-interactive reflective process that sets a path to transformational leadership.
Outcomes:
- Identify your leadership foundation
- Understand value-based leadership and align your actions accordingly
- Develop, communicate, and leading with a compelling vision
- Learn how to lead others, build collaboration, teamwork, and trust
- Regulate the organizational temperature so you and others are motivated to do their best
How do you develop an ability to lead from any position in an organization? How can you be more adept in influencing those over whom you have little or no authority? What are the key skills that are needed for a successful leader? How do you stand out as a successful leader? Knowing how to influence and lead others—often without direct authority—is critical in successfully managing projects. Most of us aren’t natural leaders, the good news is that leadership skills can be learnt. The best makes the journey from manager to leader using their innate talents, and through continuous learning and improvement. Don’t rely on the school of hard knocks, discover the secrets to exceptional leadership and the mistakes to avoid on your own road to success.
- How to stand out as a successful and effective Project leader
- How to align and remove obstacles for personal leadership development
- Decode the leadership myths to identify what really matters and ensure that your leadership passes the test and stands out!

Abstract
We all like to think our projects and change programmes are well planned and are destined for success when we start but so many business initiatives get into trouble at different stages of their implementation.
Success is never guaranteed, even in safe and stable times, so how does a business overcome its challenges to delivery in such unprecedented times?
This learning session looks at the key reasons behind project and change failure and how to address these early to minimize their impact. In addition, the session will demonstrate a bespoke Organisational Business Recovery Model that will assist the participants in assessing where they are, what direction they need to take, who should take the lead and when and where the recovery implementation needs to take place.
This presentation will leave its participants with a hands-on method they can take away from the session and introduce into their organisation as and when Change Recovery is next needed, offering them greater confidence that their future business initiatives can be delivered with a higher degree of success.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the learning session, participants will be able to:
· Understand the main causes of project and change initiative failure
· Be able to evaluate and diagnose an at-risk business initiative
· Implement a recovery initiative plan using the Organisational Business Recovery Model

This presentation is aimed at helping leaders to reconfigure their understanding of the art of leadership. The same we talk about smart cities, smart phones and smart organizations, we have to examine the kind of leadership it will take to build and sustain strong systems in the 21st century. There are now digitized industries, automated work spaces and the internet of things. Ingleton proposes a model of leadership that is innovative and multi-faceted. She emphasizes that we have to shift the focus from the customer and the employees to the leader. She emphasizes the role of the leader in creating meaningful organizational change. She affirms that if we build the leadership, the leadership will fix the team and it will boomerang to the customer.
More importantly, it highlights uncomfortable truths, often not discussed. Key among these are:allowing team members to shine, the vulnerabilities of leadership, putting team members first and focusing on their emotional well-being.

In this world of constant evolution, we are seeing more and more changes disrupt the way we work and live. The world is unplanned, unpredictable, and undeniably different each and every moment. We are used to planned change events, structures feel comfortable, fated actions feel safe and play to our need for security.
In 1987 the US military coined the term VUCA, an acronym for Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity. All words associated with the experience of the inevitable in our life. Whether we accept the advancements of technology, the innovations of medicine, the reshaping of our communications or the desire to be the next social media hit, they are inescapable.
We need to build our toolbox with behaviours, techniques, and true understanding to respond successfully to these disruptions in both our personal and professional life. We need to be flexible, responsive, nimble, quick-thinking, and prepared for the unexpected… we need to demonstrate agility!
SESSION OBJECTIVES:
1. Understand the world of VUCA and disruptive Change.
2. Gain insight into the differences of doing and being agile.
3. Develop your own roadmap to become more agile for now and the future.
Leaders face challenges, large or small, that set the tone for their entire organization. Few companies escaped the recent COVID-19 pandemic that has caused disruption and displaced businesses in many sectors at an unprecedented scale. These uncertain times are painful, devastating, and have tested many organizational leaderships. How leaders respond can make all the difference to future success. Throughout this presentation, you will have a unique opportunity to learn how to lead in uncertain times. 1) Leading with moral narratives
2) Acting purposefully
3) Keeping the team focus
4) Creating win-win solutions
